Geoheritage Resources in Polish Landscape Parks as a Basis for Developing a Network of Geoparks

Despite intensive scientific research on geodiversity and geotourism, the development of a network geoparks in Poland has been slow. There are only two here. The reasons include difficulties an organisational nature. existing spatial forms nature conservation should be used to streamline process establishing geoparks. areas potential partially overlap with landscape parks. study presents comprehensive quantitative assessment abiotic sites (abiotic reserves, natural phenomena, documentation sites, geosites) occurring parks (125 Poland). Parks greatest number such highest geoheritage value indicated (10% total number). Within these areas, new could established tourism based resources developed. In some cases, located within planned feature small which may indicate occurrence deficiencies system Poland.
